The Suez Canal is a counterfeit ocean level stream in Egypt

thought about the main focus of the sea transport in the Middle East, associating the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea. Opened in November 1869 following 10 years of development work, it permits transport among Europe and Asia without route around Africa. The northern end is Port Said and the southern end is Port Tawfiq at the city of Suez. Ismailia lies on its west bank, 3 kilometers (1 7⁄8 miles) from the midpoint. The trench is 193.30 km (120 1⁄8 mi) long, 24 meters (79 feet) profound and 205 m (673 ft) wide starting at 2010. It comprises of the northern access channel of 22 km (14 mi), the waterway itself of 162.25 km (100 7⁄8 mi) and the southern access channel of 9 km (5 1⁄2 mi). The waterway is a solitary path with passing spots in the Ballah By-Pass and the Great Bitter Lake. It contains no locks; seawater streams openly through the trench. All in all, the channel north of the Bitter Lakes streams north in winter and south in summer. The momentum south of the lakes changes with the tide at Suez. ----

---- On 26 August 2014 a proposition was made for opening a New Suez Canal. Work on the New Suez Canal was finished in July 2015.[217][218] The channel was formally initiated with a function went to by unfamiliar pioneers and highlighting military flyovers on 6 August 2015, as per the financial plans spread out for the project.
